"Wakey wakey Anna... Upsy daisy now..."
The young Anna's eyelids twitched from the irritation of being woken up, she didn't much like being forced awake by anyone, and much preffered to wake up on her own accord. She rarely got her way though, and was always woken up like this, Anna always tried to ignore it though; pushing the voice to the back of her mind.
"Aw, poor little Anna, trying to fight me again? You know you can't win, you would have by now if you could... Now come on, up you get, you've got to take your medication."
The female could feel the annoyance at it growing in her stomach, and she drew in a deep breath and opened her eyes. The last thing she wanted was to get angry, she always had to keep a neutral mood on her, or a happy one. She hadn't lost control in a few days now, and she could feel he was restless to do something. Anna wasn't going to let that happen though, she was in control.
"Oh, you think so do you? You're up, aren't you? You're awake, just like I told you to do."
Anna ignored him again, as much as she wanted to retort a reply, as much as he baited her for a reply, she gritted her teeth and ignored him, pushing her bed clothes off of her and slipping out of bed.
"Yes, that's right Anna, get up, and go and get changed, then go and have your medication to try and silence me. Not that it works, you know that, don't you, Anna?"
She hadn't spoken to him in a day or two, and she could feel his amusement at trying to piss her off so he could resume control. But Anna was stronger than that, he wasn't going to let him take over today. She hated having to fight a constant battle she hated having-
"Yes Anna! You hate it, don't you? Think about how much you hate it! Hate, Anna, hate it so much!"
"Shut up!" Anna finally demanded, taking a deep breath and trying to calm herself. She looked over to the mirror at herself, one of her eyes seemed to be darker than the other, "Not today, Red." She had named the voice "Red", no real reason other then it being a nice short name. She smiled maliciously at herself, and smiled as she felt his presence shift and dull down.
"Just wait Anna, you can't keep me bottled up in here forever..."
Anna let him be, ignoring his taunts and turned her attention to the door and pulled it open. She was immediately met by the face of her doctor and escort, Doctor. Mason Lambert. He was the only one that had the medication for Anna to temporarily silence the voice. He was an older man, around late forties maybe, and his hair color was fading a little. He looked over at Anna as she smiled back, "Good morning Anna, you slept well, I hope?"
"It was the more fulfilling in the past few days, although Red still hasn't stopped..."
"What do you mean?" The male looked over at her with inquisitive eyes, they made her somewhat wary, he looked so fascinated by the fact that she was hearing a voice, a voice that no other could hear.
"He's started coming into my dreams, and tries to make them frightful so he can make me feel anger or fear so he can have some amusement. I manage to fight him back every time, but still..."
"We'll see what we can do, alright?"
Anna nodded a little, she knew his efforts would be useless, but the female appreciated the thought.
