Appearance: Sendo is about 5'8 with a lean build and pale skin. He has violet hair that covers most of his face. His shinigami top is sleeveless, the rest of his uniform being standard. He carries his zanpakuto with him rather than tying it to an obi sash.
Personality: Sendo is a generally quiet person around others and does not speak much. When he does speak, he generally tries to speak as formally as he can to show his respect to those around him. He always tries to get work out of the way as soon as possible, and tries to put his time into ever thing he does. He tries to avoid being in a leadership position, but when forced, attempts to do his best to command people so that everything turns out for the best.
Sendo has a great love for sword combat and always has an eye out for those who might make interesting fights. When not sparring or performing his duties, he enjoys the simple pleasure of roaming ad exploring the Soul Soceity.
Fighting Style: Sendo is a cautious fighter, stepping back to analyze his opponent and gathering as much information as possible and waiting for an opputunity to make his move. He relies on his swordsmanship and his shikai techniques to harm his opponents, using shunpo to make his attacks less predictable. He has a skill of kido in the thirties, though he rarely uses kido. While he gradated the academy with above standadr hand to hand combat skill, he prefers his blade in battle.
Background: Sendo was born in third district of the East Rukongai. Growing up, he found it hard to be socially active and spent a lot of time as a kid alone. He could either be found in his home, reading a book and trying to create his own idea for a story or wandering the streets of the Soul Society. At one point, he would begin to feel an emptiness at the pit of his soul, usually while he was in deep thought. After experiencing this for a couple of days, he asked his father what that empty feeling represented. His father told him it was hunger and in turn, told him about the shinigami academy and the Gotei 13. He told him that when he became older, he would allow him to join the shinigami academy. Years later, his father had helped him apply to the shinigami academy.
Sendo, despite having a relatively large spiritual pressure, struggled during lessons involving the manipulation and control of spirit energy, though excelled in sword fighting. Despite his difficulty in the academy and continued working hard towards becomig a shinigami. Over time, and with a lot of practice, his skills with reiatsu manipulation would improve, though his kido would still stay out side of his reach. He showed promise in hand to hand combat, though did not favor it particularly. At the end of his first year, he would finish near the bottom of his peers.
He would continue his practice becoming more comfortable expending his energy properly and ask if he could obtain some private instruction so that he could further his learning. Over the course of the next few years, he would progressively learn new tchniques. First, he become capable of using shunpo. His skill with it would grow as he practiced it and used it in battle. Later would come his slight success with kido, being able to use hado spells up to the mid thirties. His hand to hand skills became very powerful despite the fact he rarely uses it in battle. Near his last year of the academy, he was finally able to create his zanpakutou, though its name would come in between his graduation from the academy and his actual acceptance into the Gotei 13.
He started out in the large sea of anonymous shinigami, at the time, still discovering the powers of his zanpakuto. Sendo decided to spend his free time participating in sparring matches with his fellow shinigami, increasing his skill and making him more comfortable with his shikai. His success rate on missions increased and eventually, he would rise to the rank of a seated officer, slowly moving up in the ranks until he reached the third seat, just below the lieutenant and captain. He would have many matches with the lieutenant before taking his rank. He still has not defeated his captain in battle, and while growing increasingly stronger, still has a way to go before competing with his bankai.
During the shinigami/arrancar war, Sendo fought against one of the Fraccion to the Espada within the East Rukongai. The battle seemed to be equal at first, with each side taking damage. It was not until unexpected help came from the far reaches of the Soul Soceity, forcing the arrancar to retreat.
