Name: Nadare "Snow" Biki
Age: 336
Visual Age: Late twenties, early thirties
Years in Soul Society: 199
Years Since Banishment: 119
Gender: Female
Former Division: 5th
Former Shinigami Rank: Lieutenant
Rank: High Elite
Appearance: Picture, but that's not her sword
Personality: Snow is a textbook introvert; she tends to be more reserved, less outgoing, and less sociable. To clarify, she's not necessarily uncomfortable around other people, she just prefers small groups over large ones when she is forced to be around people.. She does enjoy spending time with close friends, but strangers and mere acquaintances tend to make her feel drained. Snow also enjoys alone time, as it gives her time to read, meditate or simply reflect on the day. With friends and those she is comfortable around, Snow can be quite friendly and sociable, going so far as joking around with people. She likes to kid others, though some might see it as picking on, she generally means no ill will by it.
As far as Snow's leadership style, it goes along with her personality. She doesn't like to ask people for help every couple minutes and she doesn't like her subordinates to do so either. She also feels uncomfortable bossing people around. For that reason, Snow tries to lead through example to help her underlings learn to think and act for themselves. She works hard when necessary and comes up with solutions on her own, hoping that her subordinates will learn to do so as well. However, she is a good listener and quite patient with her subordinates so many of them feel comfortable coming to her with problems or for help with learning new techniques.
Inner Hollow Personality: Snow's inner hollow is rather childish. She enjoys running and playing rather than fighting Snow for control of their body. While Snow tries to remain low key, her hollow draws attention to itself by shouting random phrases that hold no relevance to the situation at hand. Once the hollow has said attention, she acts shy as if surprised to have gotten said attention.
Inner Hollow Appearance: Snow's inner hollow appears as a 10 year old girl with similar coloring to Snow. In fact, the hollow seems to be a younger version of Snow herself. The hollow's hair hangs down to mid-back and it wears a black dress with black shorts.
Fighting Style: Snow focuses heavily on speed, aiming to hit her opponents without taking damage herself. Even if she barely cuts an opponent, she feels that she has succeeded. Due to her focus on speed, Snow has mastered shunpo and is among its most respected practitioners. She is very skilled with her zanpakuto, but she probably cannot be considered a true master yet. She has rudimentary skills in kido, being capable of performing some lower level ones with incantations, but she is very unlikely to depend on these in actual battle situations.
Background: Like everyone who dies, Biki was reborn as a spiritual being in Rukongai. She grew up in a small family, only having one brother a couple years younger than she was. Biki and her brother got along well enough, preferring to spend their time apart. She wasn't very sociable, even at a young age. She often watched other kids play, rather than joining in.
By the age of 13, it was apparent that Biki had an above average spiritual power. She wasn't keen on entering the Academy however because it meant that she would have to leave her family. While she wasn't terribly attached to her family, the idea of going to a place where hundreds of 'special' people gathered to learn to fight was incredibly disarming to Biki. Despite this, Biki's family was happy for her and slowly, over time, convinced her to join the academy and train to be a shinigami.
At first, she hid herself amongst the masses. She did well, but not too well, not wanting to stand out and draw attention to herself. She was quite skilled however and she progressed through school without really having any trouble. After graduating, she was assigned to the 5th division as it seemed a good place for her. The Captain, who was terrible at remembering names and renown for his use of nicknames, quickly christened her Snow upon their first meeting. At the time, Snow figured it was simply an allusion to the color of her hair, but he later told her "You remind me of snow: a couple flakes on my back and I barely notice the weight, but when you go all out, you're more forceful than an avalanche." Snow, not liking her original name, was willing to accept the nickname and its stuck with her ever since.
After nearly 20 years in the 5th division, Snow was awarded a seated position. She'd managed to move from being unseated to being the 8th seat. She served the 5th division very well, doing a myriad of chores. She put her time in and moved up the seated positions, eventually garnering the position of lieutenant. While she was hesitant to accept the position due to the attention being lieutenant would garner her, Snow knew that she had earned it and accepted the position.
Snow was happy to serve under her Captain, doing everything he needed. She did much paperwork for him and even maintained the lower seats. She tried her best and worked so hard that her Captain gave her a vacation one day. She was to head to the real world, a place she rarely got to go as a member of the 5th division, simply to enjoy herself. She was excited about seeing the real world and getting to experience things she'd heard about from shinigami in the other divisions... but not everything goes as planned.
Snow wandered the streets, enjoying the sights, smells and sounds that humans overlooked everyday until a man walked up to her. She figured he was just pleasant or hitting on her, but this man would turn out to be the Vizard Maker. He complimented her on her strength and progression, something she'd never really been complimented on before. He told her that she was special and that he had great plans and that he needed her. Curious, she accepted the man's offer of power and became a vizard.
Snow soon entered the Vizard Organization, surprised at all the faces she recognized from Soul Society. She wondered what this man really had planned for all of these shinigami turned vizard. Her new found powers helped Snow release her bankai, something she'd failed at accomplishing before leaving Soul Society. She quickly rose and became a powerful vizard, entering the ranks of the low elites.
The Shinigami/Espada war changed things, however. Many vizard enlisted in the battle to save Earth and Snow followed the lead. She fought valiantly against the arrancar alongside her brethren. She managed to survive the war, though not all of the warriors who had entered were as successful. The war left openings amongst the Organization and Snow was soon promoted to High Elite in order to fill the vacancy.
