Name: Koori Musha
Zanpakuto Spirit Appearance: Koori Musha takes the form of a Japanese samurai warrior made entirely of ice, including his skin and sword. He wears a chest plate and shoulder pads that are shaped like dragon heads, each with eyes that glow bright red, just as Koori Musha’s eyes. He also wears gauntlets made of ice that have the texture of leather, and the standard samurai hakama that covers his lower body. Koori Musha always has a serious facial expression and never smiles.
Zanpakuto Spirit Personality: Koori Musha has a strong sense of honor. He believes that a warrior should fight to protect those he or she cares about without using underhanded actions at all cost, even if that means death. Dying with honor is better than living without honor in his eyes. He enjoys constantly giving verbose lectures to Kuketsu about fighting with honor, which Kuketsu has gotten tired of hearing and just ignores him most of the time. Koori Musha, although, does give Kuketsu advice when they train.
Release Phrase: Bathe this realm in ice, Koori Musha!
Family: Ice manipulation
Level: Bankai
Sealed Zanpakuto: Kuketsu’s zanpakuto takes the form of a standard tachi that is 78 cm in length, which is about 2 feet, with a guard shaped like a dragon claw. The hilt is wrapped in black cloth with blue diamond shapes.
Shikai: When in Shikai, Kuketsu’s zanpakuto’s blade becomes engulfed in ice. The new blade becomes about an inch longer than the normal blade due to being shrouded in ice. Additionally, the guard becomes a blue dragon head with red eyes.
Shikai Ability: When Kuketsu cuts his opponent with his zanpakuto, their reaction time decreases slightly. As Kuketsu continues to cut his opponent, the more their reaction time worsens. To be precise, as Kuketsu slashes his opponent, their body becomes colder making it harder for them to move. However, it takes several slashes before the effects become clearly noticeable and it only affects the area that was cut by his zanpakuto.
Bankai: In Bankai, Kuketsu’s zanpakuto remains the same physical appearance. However, Kuketsu’s shoulders become covered with shoulder pads made of ice in the shape of a dragon head. An ice chest plate also covers his upper body.
Bankai Release Phrase: Bankai! Reido Koori Musha!
Bankai Ability: Kuketsu’s bankai ability is the same as his Shikai ability, but the effect is increased. The amount the opponent’s reaction time decreases with each slash now becomes greater. It now takes fewer slashes to notice any difference.
Techniques:
Ice Crest: Kuketsu points in any direction with his zanpakuto and create a circle of ice on any surface within 100 feet from him. This circle instantly freezes any part of the body that comes in direct contact with it. However, this means that the opponent needs to be on the ground or in physical contact with the object inside of the circle and any part of the body not in direct contact with the circle can move freely. The circle itself is 50 feet in diameter, meaning the circle is 50 feet from one side to the opposite side. In Bankai, the crest lasts a little longer and requires more energy to break free from prior finishing the full duration of the technique.
Charge: 1 post. Duration: 2 posts (Shikai), 3 posts (Bankai). Cooldown: 3 posts (Shikai), 4 posts (Bankai).
Frozen Wall: Kuketsu swings his sword and 10 feet pillars of ice swiftly form around Kuketsu, completely surrounding him from back to front, but not from above or below. After completely forming, these pillars block incoming attacks and eventually shatter after taking a large amount of damage or a certain amount of time has passed. These pieces of ice can cut the opponent if they come in contact with them. In Bankai, the pillars become stronger and when they shatter, the ice shards move faster and deal more damage.
Duration: instant. Cooldown: 3 posts.
Ice Wave: Kuketsu swings his zanpakuto and creates a wave of ice infused with his reishi that shatters when it comes in hits an object, causing a sudden burst of freezing air in a large radius. This wave may not deal high amounts of damage, it moves very quickly and if it connects with the enemy, it slows down the opponet’s reaction time. The amount this technique worsens the target’s reaction time is equivalent to 5 slashes from Kuketsu’s Shikai zanpakuto, or 3 slashes from Bankai zanpakuto.
Duration: instant. Cooldown: 3 posts.
