Vizard Gathering

The heat in the room was almost unbearable.
The candles on the long table lit up the place
and shadows were cast across the room onto the rough,
volcanic stone walls.
Zeno sat at the head of the huge table in the High Room with his elbows on the table and his head
resting on his folded hands.
He had requested the other two High Elites to be present on this Gathering.
And not one of them late.
The meeting would commence in a few minutes.

His mind was empty. He could feel himself ascending above his own body
to calmer and more peaceful place.
Meditation had always been one of his daily routines.
Then in the blink of an eye his body tensed and he flew back into it.
He opened his eyes, his heart pounding, the heat of the room overwhelming him.
Zeno stood immediately and unsheathed his Zanpakutõ.
"What the..." He said as he looked across the empty room.
As the adrenaline faded away he heard someone knock on the door.
"Oh..." He sighed as he calmly sheathed his Zanpakutõ and sat back down.
He ran his hand through his hair and once again folded his hands.

"Come in.."

Naraga entered the rather warm, candle-lit room upon hearing his comrade's voice of approval. "Hello, Zenos." he said with a bit of excitement in his voice. Naraga slowly walked to one of the open chairs, as the shadows cast by candles danced around him in a frenzy. Despite is usual calm and quiet demeanor he couldn't help but get excited. The High Elites hardly ever had meetings and when they did they did it was only on important matters. Usually, the vizard's dealed with minor events by themselves in their own personal way... or at least he did. He smiled his usual taunting, insane-looking smile that he got when he sensed something important was coming. Finally calming a little, Naraga made himself comfortable."So what's the reason you've called this meeting, hmm..."

As Naraga entered the room, Zeno kept his eyes on the door until Naraga sat down.
He sighed. She's too late for a Gathering... How disappointing...
"Well, as you know, there hasn't been a Gathering in a while..." He said as if he didn't even notice Snow wasn't there. He shifted his eyes to Naraga and looked him straight in the eyes without even blinking once.
"Tell me, Naraga.. What do you know about the Otakus?"

Hmm, the Otakus... Naraga had heard of the seperate group of superhumans but beyond that they were a mystery to him. "Not as much as I'd like. All I know is that they're a group of superhumans with strange powers who broke away from the main branch... Why do you ask?" Naraga was once again growing nervous at the thoughts of another enemy in this war of survival the vizards were stuck in, but it was a rather grim excitement.

((....Err Zeno? Would you mind not deciding things about the Vizard hideout like "meeting room is over hot lava" without my okay? The Hideout may be inside Mt. Fuji but it isn't that deep in. Especially since they wouldn't want to accidentally activate it if people started fighting in the meeting room or something. 300 meters isn't much when you are shooting ceros and shit.))

((Also if you want the Vizard Maker to come in for....well for anything then let me know. I don't really have anything planned for him right now but if you want him to appear for any reason then just mention it in the topic or in a PM.)

( Oh ehh.. Sorry about that, I'll edit my post. But would you mind posing how exactly the Vizard Sanctuary is built? Like a map or something.

And about the Vizard Maker, I do have something planned involving the Vizard Maker but I'll let you know about that in a PM later. ^^ )

"Exactly, that's all we know about them. They're a mystery, and I don't like it.
We don't know what side they're on, if any, and why they've broken away from the main
branch in the first place. They might be friend as much as they might be foe..." Zeno said as he rubbed his goaty pensively. I must know more about a potential threat like that...

"I'd like to investigate them. We could send out some Low Elites and some Regulars
to find them, and maybe get a spy on the inside. Humans are easy to bribe...
What do you think?"

Naraga was slowly becoming still and much more serious.

"Hmm..., I'd rather not use the Regulars. The last thing we need is rumors of another enemy going around the sanctuary, as for humans, they're too unreliable." Naraga looked at Zenos grimly.

"We're in a rather tough situation. We can't give up our security over intel and we don't want to instigate the Otakus. In the end it's up to you. I'll stick with whatever you decide but I'd keep this as quiet as possible for the vizard's sake." Naraga leaned back against his chair as he tried to stop the surge of nervousness that was returning to his body.

Zeno stared at a candle on the table for a few seconds.
The flame seemed frozen. It didn't move a bit.
He's right..
Zeno looked up and spoke as if he had it all figured out.
"I agree. The Vizards will get nervous, especially since we don't know
any details about this potential enemy. If we accidentally provoke the Otakus
they might surprise us because we don't know any details
about their powers. Still, we can't just let them hide in the shadows until
they're ready to strike while we are unprepared for it." He said and stood.
The flames of the candles on the table were dancing wildly.

"Maybe we should spy on them ourselves. We'll become their shadows.
Spy on them from a distance and analyse them. We'll be the only ones who know.
Once we know enough about them we can approach them appropriately."
Zeno walked toward the door as if Naraga had already agreed to it.
Then he stopped abruptly and turned around. He looked Naraga in the eyes.
I'm rushing things...

"Unless you have a better suggestion?"

Naraga stared right back into Zeno's eyes and the excitement he was fighting finally overwhelmed him as a mischievous smile once again spread across his face.

"Hehehehe... Not at all, however I myself would also like to spy on these so called "threats", hehehehehe..."

Naraga then stood and tried to anticipate his brother-in-arms' reaction.

((Yeah I will make a map of the Vizard Sanctuary at some point, thanks for editing. Also the Rise of the Otaku topic is open if you eventually want to move your characters in there to spy on the otaku.))

Zeno smiled. Good.
He ran his hand through his hair.
"Then it's settled. We're leaving right now.
The last time I checked on their activity there was a large number
of Otaku gathering in Karakura Town. Though it's been a while
since I checked on their progress. We'll see if they are hostile or not
when we arrive there immediately I think. We should be back here
before sunset, the other Vizards shouldn't notice a thing.
Let's go, and stay close to me." He said calmly and left the room at a rather high pace.

Last time I checked they were only hiding in Karakura Town...
It was a good idea to keep the other Vizards away from Karakura Town
by distracting them with other missions so they wouldn't come across
the Otakus too soon... But if the Otakus are hostile..
Damnit we might be in serious trouble...

Zeno exited the Vizard Sanctuary and headed for Karakura Town.

Naraga was surprised at the quickness of his friends movements. So much for calm and collected.

"Alright then, let's go."

With that Naraga followed his leader with a even more speed in order to catch up.

I'd better be prepared for these Otaku's. If they're anything like normal superhumans then they are not to be underestimated.
