Well then...

Naoki Ueno found herself in the middle of a forest, picking wildflowers. She crouched down to pluck a particularly vibrant one, inhaling its scent. This area was quite beautiful and scenic - almost like a post card. There was a small trickle of a stream flowing nearby, flowing out of a pool that gathered at the bottom of a singing waterfall formed by a low cliff. A veritable cornucopia of colors bloomed between the water's edge and the line of trees.

Standing, Naoki looked up, squinting at the sun with her one remaining eye. She frowned as a light breeze ruffled the cape on her back. She was wearing her Quincy uniform, and therefore did not have a watch at hand. Trying to tell the time by the sun was not one of the things she was best at, however, and after a moment she simply shrugged and gave up. What was the point, anyway? She didn't particularly need to be anywhere at that exact moment. She brushed off the thought before stooping down to pick another flower, the chain wound around her wrist dangling down as she reached her hand towards the colorful petals.

There was a rather cold breeze as Zeno suddenly appeared before her.
This was Vizard territory. Why was she here?
Never mind, the rules forced him to kill her. He couldn't let her discover the Vizard base, or if she already had, let her get away to spread the word.
"You shouldn't be here.." Zeno spoke calmly.

Naoki looked up as a shadow fell across her, blinking her eye to make out the form standing with its back against the sun. When it spoke, she smirked and went back to the flower she'd been eyeing. After plucking it from the ground, she stood and sniffed it for a moment. Naoki Ueno only spoke when she was good and ready to.

At length, she replied "And why is that, mysterious man who is dressed in extremely out-of-date clothing?"

Questions like that would only give Zeno more reason to kill her.
Especially if he answered them.
"No questions. You shouldn't have come here, now you must
suffer the consequences. I am sorry, but there is no other way." He said as he took a few steps forward and unsheathed his blade.
He stared coldly into her eye. No emotions on the outside. Filled with anger and regret on the inside. He didn't want to kill her, but he had to. He simply had to.

The flower's petals tickled Naoki's nose as she held it in front of her face. She smirked once more as the man drew his sword. She wondered what he was - he looked vaguely like a Shinigami, but not quite, and of course she had to wonder why a Shinigami would be out here. He definitely had some kind of spiritual pressure, but she couldn't exactly make out the flavor of it. Well, whatever he was, he was definitely underestimating her.

Suddenly she spread her arms out to her sides, exclaiming "Ah! It looks like you really mean business, eh?" Her cape and skirt swirled as she turned on her heel and took a few small steps away from him. "You're sorry, eh? Well, I'm sorry too. You seem like a nice enough fellow..." She looked back over her shoulder with a grin and threw the flower at him. "No, not really, I lied!"

Abruptly, Naoki used Hirenkyaku, reappearing on top of the low cliff next to the stream. She knelt down, holding her right hand straight in front of her, the pendant on the end of her chain dangling. A blue light formed at the symbol, then sprung out into her bow, Zero Absolution.

Drawing back the string, an arrow appeared in her hand, and she aimed at the man. "Unfortunately for you, I'm not prey as easy as you thought! You'll regret the day you messed with the amazing Naoki Ueno of the Quincy Knights!"

Quincy knight eh... Zeno thought as he looked up and saw Naoki aiming an arrow at his head.
He pointed his sword toward the arrow.
Curious for her next move, he taunted her a bit.
"Go ahead, shoot..."

Naoki's smirk was unwavering. He probably thought she was going to run around and shoot him with her bow like the other Quincy; the ones with no physical strength. That's what everyone thought when they found out she was a Quincy. Her fingers shifted slightly as she replied to his invitation "Gladly."

Her left arm flew back as she released the shining blue shaft. Before it even finished flying from her hands, she used another Hirenkyaku, reappearing just in front of the man. She crouched low, then quickly sprang up, curling into a ball and flipping over his head. As she flew over him, she unfurled and, grasping the bottom of her bow with both hands like a club, swung it down towards his head.

Without even turning around, Zeno quickly blocked her strike by swinging his blade against the incoming strike from above. He then saw the blue shaft appearing in front of him. That was her plan apparently. Making him block her strike so her arrow would hit him.
Just before the arrow would take impact on his chest, he used shunpo to disappear from the spot. Making her arrow fly towards her instead of him.

Naoki curled herself back up, crouching low as her feet hit the ground so that the arrow went over her head. She looked back over her shoulder at the man. What a crafty bastard! Not only had he blocked her melee attack, he'd also dodged her arrow AND used it against her. The nerve of some people!

Well, she would not stand for it. It was one thing to see through her trick, and another to have the nerve to not get hit by her attacks! (Yes, she really believes this.) She decided she would just have to show him that he could not avoid her forever. Of course, she didn't plan her next move before she suddenly jumped up and ran to the side, shooting arrow after arrow in the general direction of the man. Rather, she only knew that she wanted to punch him really, really badly.

She did notice, in a very cursory manner, that he had used Shunpo, a Shinigami ability. Not that she particularly cared as she circled around him, moving ever closer in something of a spiral shape, shooting arrows all the while.

As she moved closer, she suddenly crouched low to the ground and barrelled straight towards him, balling up her fist and pushing it upwards toward his face in an uppercut motion.

"Quincy special ability," She yelled to no one in particular as her uppercut flew towards him. All of a sudden she stood and brought her knee up towards his groin. "Nutcracker!"

The problem with fighting a crazy person was, and will always be, that you really can't tell what they're doing until they do it.

Blocking the incoming arrows was easy. Evading the fist to the face and a knee in the balls wasn't.
He didn't realize she was next to him until her fist appeared in front of his face.
He moved backward a bit to dodge her uppercut. Then he noticed a dangerous and evil knee aiming for his family jewels. He jumped backward but her knee managed to hit the nuts slightly. But a well known fact is that you don't need to hit 'em very hard in order to cause pain. He backed away from the Quincy as he held his left hand on his treasure.
That didn't feel too good.. Zeno though to himself and he started to feel sick. He needed a moment until the pain was slowly fading away.
Calm as every he spoke.
"That... Was very unnecessary..." He said before he disappeared using shunpo.
He reappeared before her, crouching. He swung his blade horizontally at her knees so she wouldn't try such a move again.

Naoki grinned viciously as he backed away. Now the element of surprise was on her side, and that was how she liked it. She was amused by how he thought that she'd just sit there and give him time to recuperate, and so decided to go lightly with her next trick.

Holding her bow vertically in front of her, she managed to block the brunt of the blow towards her legs, but it did bring her down on one knee. However, she did not appear to be phased, her grin pursuing as she said, as though asking him if he wanted a piece of toast, "X Marks the Spot,"

As the X shape on her bow detached itself and flew onto the man's chest, she took a Hirenkyaku backwards, then a few acrobatic maneuvers to plant her feet firmly on a nearby tree branch. She grasped Zero Absolution and drew back an arrow with her left hand, aiming it up towards the sky. She called down "I would run if I were you!", a courteous, albeit vague warning. She then proceeded to loose the arrow and take a bow - for no particular reason.

"Run?.." Zeno grinned. Getting hit by a surprise attack only happened once in a fight with him. "You just said it yourself, X Marks the Spot. It wouldn't matter how far I'd run. The arrow has a lock-on." Zeno said as he looked at the x-shaped thing on his chest.
"Erupt, Akuma." He spoke. Akuma transformed into a metal pentagon and blue energy was unleashed from it's top side. It looked like a reishi blade now.
